Mike Leprino, Sr. arrived in America in 1914 with little more than fierce determination and a tough set of principles. In 1950 he founded Leprino Foods on ideals we now call our Core Values. These principles are focused on meeting a single goal - to provide our customers with the highest quality dairy food ingredients possible - a goal that has fueled our growth for over 55 years.

The foundation for Great Lakes Safety Training Center of today was built in the mid 1950s. Known then as the Midland Area Safety Task Force, the name was later changed to the Midland Area Contractors’ Safety Council. The current name was established in 1995. Then, as now, the major focus is developing and communicating worksite safety best practices for all members.   Our mission is to provide safety education experiences to help eliminate accidents. Our Motto is “Education, the key to accident prevention.” We encourage our members, customers, and community to challenge us by suggesting new and different ways we can assist them with meeting their safety training needs.”
